Thought Thieves Film Competition???
Microsoft UK has launched a "Thought Thieves" film competition to solicit user-contributed short films "on the theme of 'How intellectual property theft affects both individuals and society'." Seems to me a good opportunity to send them in some short films on the importance of the creative commons, and how too much intellectual property protection harms innovation and otherwise negatively affects both individuals and society.

The premise of this competition is rather offensive. An amusing response would be to send in a short film extolling the benefits of creative commons. Or outright intellectual thievery, depending on how you choose to label it.
My first reaction was, someone should do a sarcastic dramatization of Prometheus stealing fire from the gods. Only, he winds up being set upon by legal Vultures forevermore for IP violations. Without such 'thought thievery' there would be no human civilization, would be the desired inference.
Scene:
Guy sitting on a bench, thought balloon over his head.
Other guy sneaks up and grabs the thought balloon, stuffing it under his arm as he runs down the street.
Cut to chop shop where the thought balloon is spray painted and passed to a fence.
Fade to the first guy looking around at everyone else walking about with his (modified) thought balloon above their heads.
Shakes fist and curses the creative commons.
