Skype Phone from Linksys

On the O'Reilly editors' list, Brian Jepson writes: "I don't know what's more interesting... the phone itself, or that it's from Linksys, who's one of Vonage's major partners in the retail channel."

Actually a question also: I have the linksys Skype phone connected to my laptop (Dell Inspiron 9300) and it works quite well et al. However when I try to place a call using the Skype contact list displayed on my laptop's screen .. I do not hear any sound (ringing and voice) of the linksys Skype phone. Nada! I would like to do this because of the large screen print vs the small linksys menu window on their walk around phone.

I can place Skype calls using either the laptop or linksys Skype phone .. alone .. and these work OK.

Is there a mode that I have to turn on to hear sound in the senerio described above?

Thanks
Tom

Have more fun: Now Firefox and IE users can highlight a phone number on any web page and Skype call it - also lookup the phone address on a map -
