Mini-Microsoft Moves OnMini-Microsoft has announced that he is taking a break. The Microsoft-employed, anonymous blogger has called for many internal Microsoft reforms since he began blogging in 2004. The recent scrapping of the MS review system and the dreaded 3.0 appear to have given him a good event to go out on. It's been impressive what this one blog has been able to do. It's difficult to quantify his exact effect, but by being so focused on one thing (improving Microsoft) he brought a lot of Microsoft's internal issues to the surface (and impressively received exec attention). His blog became a place for Softies to swap stories and commiserate. It was interesting to watch the tough love for Microsoft that occurred on that site; I don't know of any other company with such an high-profile airing of dirty laundry. Mini is going to keep posting periodically (in fact already did again), but as he said "it's not goodbye it's just a... mini-Mini-Microsoft for a while". |

p1, line 4: "appears" should be "appear" (two things appear to have given him. . .)
p2, line 2: "impoving" should be "improving"
p2, line 4: "recieved" should be "received"
