The Innovation and Growth in a Flat World event that Brian Behlendorf and I did with Thomas Friedman in New York a few months ago is now available on video. Devin Wenig, the COO of Reuters, was also on the panel. It was a great group, and we had a freewheeling discussion, “mashing up” our various ideas about open source, web 2.0 and the flat world. In the Q&A, we spent a lot of time talking about education as well.
Update: My favorite bit was Brian’s graceful answer to the audience question “Stephen Hawking says that within the next 20 years, thanks to advances in our understanding of physics, we will understand the face of God. Brian my question to you is, what role will CollabNet play in helping that happen?’
