Okay, it takes knowledge of regular expressions and of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to get this one, but if you have both then it's worth it. The joke is in the first comment on this use.perl.org post. Discussion of whether jokes that require knowledge of regexen and of HHGTTG can really be called jokes is left as an exercise to the reader.
