Open Source Hardware
When Sun announced OpenSPARC last year, I was as skeptical as the next person, but I'm glad to see it bearing fruit in the form of Simply RISC's S1 Core for embedded devices. Now we wait to see if anyone will pick it up for large-scale manufacturing.

This would be interesting if anyone actually picks this up and runs with it. Hopefully this will open the doors to a whole new level of open source sharing.
