Wheaties for Your Wallet

I've launched a new blog, "Wheaties for Your Wallet," for my startup, Wesabe. I'm using it to talk about the ideas and motivations behind the company, and what we're out to accomplish.

So what are we out to accomplish? We haven't talked about it publicly before this, so the blog is sort of a debut. I started Wesabe with my co-founder, Jason Knight, because we think there are way too many companies out there helping businesses get more money out of consumers, and not nearly enough helping consumers get more value out of businesses. People have a huge amount of stress around money, and while there are desktop personal finance tools available, they have a limited audience, and the whole category hasn't yet made the jump to the web. We decided to rethink personal finance software completely, and focus on these needs with a new set of ideas.

It's been a lot of fun working on this for the past few months, and I've been lucky to work with great people on it. I'm looking forward to opening the site, but until then, I'm enjoying talking about why we're doing it. Stop by and check it out.

(I am still going to be posting to Radar, including posts about some of the larger trends or ideas we're seeing in the development of Wesabe. There's nothing like starting a company again to give me new tests for some of my ideas about the process, and to discover new topics I think we should be talking about here.)
