Ultimate fabbing experience

The trend towards fabbing reaches some sort of logical conclusion in this sketch furniture project by Swedish design team FRONT.
3D motion capture techniques are used to capture live 3D sketches of furniture. The resulting 3D plot is then processed and the sketches fabbed to produce real furniture from pure handwaving. The video of this process is mesmerizing.

Looks like the Youtube video is gone...any other links to it?

phl [11.14.06 01:58 PM]

Hmm, strange, because it's also the only avaliable video at the official website

NO, it's not at the new link in comments either. November 15,2006, I heard the NHL and YOUTUBE were in negotiations to have the NHL Provide content for YOUTUBE. So, is YOUTUBE morphing into an all advertising site? All advertising - all the time? YOU bother yourself? Interesting approach. Advertising as content and public service announcements as the advertising? Yesterday I went to a bookmark I had saved at youtube; Johnny Depp reading the kicker from Hunter S. Thompsons, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. 'Not available' it said, the proprietor had requested it be blocked. To me it seemed to be a home movie taken at a Bar, an imprompto 'poetry reading'; Hunter's in the audience, it's not slick. Does Universal Pictures own what ever Johnny Depp Ever says with regards to the movie they produced? Does this lead to law suits by "you" if your content gets hits? I'm confused. michaelholloway

@J, I've tried to contact FRONT about the video, but no news.

@Michael, I believe this is FRONT or whomever originally published the video who took it down, and not a rights-holder as suggested in the Johnny Depp clip.
One other option is that Johnny Depp himself has asked to take it down...

And the video is now finally up again, now at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zP1em1dg5k
