Lawrence Lessig: Beyond Copyright, Copyleft, Etc.

Earlier today I posted here about the new issue of Release 2.0 and how much of it is built on Lawrence Lessig's notion of "code is law." Well, it turns out that Lessig remains too fast for the rest of us (or, at least, too fast for me). Just as we're trying to expand on his notions of how copyright works, he has moved on. In a blog post today, Lessig celebrates his 10th anniversary of what Cory Doctorow calls "copyfighting" by announcing that he will now focus on an even bigger battle, against the corruption that makes bad laws (and not just bad copyright laws) possible. Esther Dyson famously implores us to "Make new mistakes." Lessig, similarly, inspires us to fight bigger targets.
