To summarize a request for help:
Ron Boychuk disappeared on October 23, 2007 on his way home, while he was flying alone in a Cessna 172 plane. Ron departed from Revelstoke, Canada en route to the Vancouver Island community of Qualicum, Canada and never arrived. The Canadian government has given up the search.

My brother located a crashed private plane while paragliding in BC. It had been missing for several years.
The forest is dense, and it just swallows up small planes.
More than 9 aircraft and 50 people have searched the area. And given the low resolution of most of the satellite imagery of the unpopulated areas, I don't see how satellite pictures are going to help.
