Some interesting links that crossed the transom recently:

  • Sphere: to-launch blog search. Is there a killer app for blog search beyond simple “who is talking about me?”
  • Ajax Mistakes: Alex Bosworth’s take on mistakes people make when writing Ajax apps. Having done one, things like “not giving immediate visual cues” resonate strongly. A welcome update to his post earlier this year.
  • Visualizing del.icio.us: roundup of delicious visualizations.
  • Transcript of the Five Kids session at Web 2.0: the best session at Web 2.0. They don’t pay for music, they all use MySpace and graduate to FaceBook, and they don’t use Yahoo! What wasn’t mentioned: MySpace and Facebook are all about getting laid and finding parties.
  • Core Data as a Cheap Database: Build a dead-simple database-driven desktop app with Core Data on the Mac.
  • Remix is Active Consumption not Production: excellent articulation of something I think I knew, but which I didn’t explicitly know. Remix is about the act of creation and not the product created.
