Get One Give One For Christmas

by Nat Torkington | @gnatcomments: 2

Just a reminder that the good folks at One Laptop Per Child are running the Get One Give One program again, in association with Amazon. Buy an OLPC XO for $399 and you'll be providing one to a child in the emerging world as well as getting one for yourself. Linux under the hood, they're hackable as well as being a great gift for a kid. Merry Christmas!

Great, But I won't buy because they don't have shipping to IRAN. Linux is for freedom, but shipping still is in mess.

OLPC News has a great article about whether or not G1G1 is for you. I have a couple for my kids that I decided not to give them last year, I might give them this year. I'm especially interested in the XO Speak activity for my four year old who is just starting to read.
