Ubuntu: Word on the street

I’m sitting in a Starbucks in Redmond, Washington (Microsoft HQ) and one of the customers just approached the guy emptying the trash and started explaining a problem he was having with his upgrade to Feisty Fawn. The guy set aside the trash bag and walked the guy through the solution to his problem. The customer said, “Thanks, I’ll try that tonight!” Talk about grassroots evangelism. By day, mild-mannered Starbucks chain manager, by night, the Ubuntu crusader, complete with earth-colored tights and cape.

I wonder how long it’ll be before I walk into a pop-culture movie, and see an Ubuntu desktop featured on the oh-so-stylish main character’s desk.
