ETech Video Coverage

At ETech 2008 Pablos Holman hacked my iPhone voice-mail and changed my greeting during a session. During that same session (Hackers Built my Motorcycle) he demonstrated how insecure RFID-enabled credit cards can be. Xeni filmed a short segment with him afterwards.

Other BoingBoing coverage:
Technology and the Iraq War: Noah Shachtman at ETech – Turns out on some bases in Iraq you can’t read blogs until after 6PM. To get their own access many soldiers have been renting their own satellite dishes.
Vlog (Mark) – Socialbomb, a real-world reputation game – If you want to win at Social Bomb be social!
DIY Drones with Chris Anderson at ETech – Chris Anderson has built his own drone for getting aerial imagery. See it in action as a preview for Where 2.0.
Nikita Chrusov of Soviet Unterzoegersdorf crashes Disney party at ETech – A visiting dignitary is confused by the green pudding (AKA wasabi) and other aspects of a party.
BBtv vlog (Xeni): ATT-NSA whistleblower Mark Klein, EFF legal director Cindy Cohn – It was really great to put a face with the man helped put a stop to the US government’s warrantless wiretapping.

We were also visited by Mahalo Daily. Veronica interviewed a number of speakers and attendees including Terry Jones (on influenza), Scott Beale (on virtualization), and Daniel Marcus (on brain imaging).

Also check out Geek TV’s coverage. Thankfully they got some footage of Nikita Chrusov’s evening performance, Nate True’s watch, and the IPRE (an open-source robot project).
